Supported Raspberry Pi models? #70

Which models does Circlean support? I did some tests:

  • RPi 3B: OK
  • RPi 3B+: not working, destination USB stick stays empty
  • RPi 4B: not even booting

Is this to expected? Are there any plans to provide an updated image for new RPi models?

Thank you!

Hmmmm I expected it to work on the 3B+, but I don't have one to test with, so I'll trust you on that.

And same, but more expected, for the 4B. I need to get one of these and figure out what's going on.

And when I figure it out, I'll release a new image/new images.

4B probably only boots with new firmware and kernel files of a current Raspbian image.

3B+ fails to correctly recognize the USB sticks. I have attached a photo.

Right, I see, someone else reported having a similar issue.

The USB key not being recognized is weird, and I'll need to get my hand on the right version of the device.

I used the pre-built img from CIRCLean. I tested RPI 1 B+ and RPI 2B. I got the same error as Michael's 3B+ - "Error: could not determine real path of the device: No such file or directory"

Just to make sure: where are the two USB keys plugged?
The source key should be in the top left slot, and the destination in the bottom right one.

We released a new image last week, and it is working on rPi4.

I had the keys plugged in as you described.

This is annoying, I have no idea what is going wrong here...
Which image are you using? And I see the destination key isn't found on the screenshot, is this key mountable on an other device? And what is the filesystem format?

I used the img - 2019-08-30_CIRCLean.img
Both keys are formatted as FAT32 and mount fine on my Mint desktop.

I am using the 2020-01-16_CIRCLean.img, but I am having issuse on a RPi 4B. Source key in the top left and destination in one of the others. Looks like it can't find the source key. I've tried it with both usb keys and usb disks.

What is the file system of the devices you try to mount?
