Using I2c for touch on ST7796S display

I am using the ST7796S 320x480 TFT display from https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FHB7HP2P?th=1 This display uses SPI for drawing stuff and communicating with the SD card.

However, it seems to use the I2c interface for the touch portion and I don't see any I2c routines in your drivers for this.

Is there some third party solution to add touch interface to my program. if so, what might it be?

Can I rewrite your touch interface to use the I2c interface rather then the SPI? If so, where might I start?

Do you have any plans to incorporate I2c into these excellent drivers?
