@NoahGorny For end users you should not use the git. Try update commands to fetch / check updates from the releases |
If you give me a headstart I will create a PR for it |
As I already said, this is a pretty difficult to do, but you are welcome to try and create a release workflow that we can use instead of cloning the repo |

We need to improve
bash-it version
to add an option to update to the latestpatch
,minor
ormajor
. This will allow users to have more control about the stability they wantOriginally posted by @NoahGorny in #1744 (comment)
We also have no way to currently test this command, as it assumes it runs from a git repo, we need to fix this
