It would be great to have Bluetooth-provided location data while at the same time using the remote, and I don't think the M50 supports having a phone and the remote connected at the same time (though I might be wrong about that). Would it be possible to have the BR-M5 present itself as a phone instead of the hardware remote so that we can also provide location data? We could get said location data from the Mini GPS Unit, or maybe even from a connected smartphone for indoor location data and no extra hardware requirement.
What general approach did you take when reverse engineering Canon's Bluetooth protocol?
