System Details

  • OS: macOS 13.4
  • Thorium Version [e.g.107.0.5347.0]

Problem
Sometimes YouTube video just won't play and the message 'Audio rendering error. Restart the computer.' appears inside at the center of the black video frame. Til now I always solved by just restarting Thorium, but it's a major inconvenience.

When "Audio rendering error" appears, please open chrome://gpu and drag the page to the bottom and copy all the log messages and upload them here

Please try to access Youtube with new user data and check again if the error mentioned above is still reproduced.

Actually it doesn't even happen 100% of the times with my current account, but I'm forced to close/restart the browser in order to have it working again

Do you have experimental flags turned on?

Also, is it convenient to send the URL of the YouTube video that is having problems?

I don't remember turning them on, but could you tell me how to check, just to be sure?

It happens with any page, actually

Please try uninstalling and reinstalling Thorium Browser and check again to see if the audio rendering error still exists

@Roccobot This is strange, other Mac users haven't reported this. Can you try the latest M114 release and report back

@Alex313031 just tried, same issue with release M114. Are other users on Intel machines too?
Anyway, I discovered that if I close all or most other tabs and refresh I can play the video again from YouTube
