Is the speed measured in kbit/s or kByte/s? The use of "kb" suggests bit. Maybe it can be made more clear... Also if the number is >= 1024 it could switch to Mbit/MByte?

It's kilobyte, otherwise it'd have to be kB. But I agree, it could be clearer.

Changing the unit on fast connections seems like a good idea to me.
