Ads still show up on various sites like Reddit (newsfeed ads) and video streaming sites (pop-ups and pre-video ads) on my 2019 i9 iMac and M1 MacBook Pro (both running Sequoia 15.3.1 and Safari version 18.3.

AdBlock is on, and the blockers are active.

Hello. I've checked Reddit and YouTube with the AdGuard extension for Safari, and I've found that I can't reproduce the adverts. Could you please check that all content blockers are enabled in Safari settings, and that you've also allowed for private browsing? If everything is enabled, I'd be grateful if you could try turning them on and off, disabling third-party filters in the extension, reloading Safari and reopening the page.
If you need any further assistance setting up the application, our technical support team is here to help. Just send an email to [email protected]

Comment

Clicking a link in a Reddit comment (which has target=_blank) is blocked for thinking it's a popup. Not just on this page but in other comments too. Not only in Safari, in Firefox the same thing happens. With cmd+click (open page in new tab behind this window) the page does open.

My issue above got added to this issue but it's different: in my case too much is blocked (false positive) instead of too little. It's not only links in comments, but also in the main post on top. See https://www.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/comments/t0fzyw/false_positive_popups_blocked_without_the_blocker/ for another example.

Also, when clicking the arrow in AdGuard's notification window, nothing happens when clicking on Manage preferences. Not when AdGuard's window is open, but not when it's only running in the menu bar either.

And on the page that shows the exceptions, the Allowed and Silenced labels are switched. When clicking on 'Allow for ..' the domain ends up under Silenced, and vice versa. The working is as intended, but they appear under the wrong label.
