Describe your question

I have a library that's not primarily a wordpress plugin.
It's a tool that can be used on any project or framework.. I'm working on making in available in the wordpress ecosystem....

If I understand correctly, ASSETS_DIR copies files to a /assets directory...
Is there an option for copying (or moving) files to the top level??
Ie the main "plugin file" itself and perhaps a readme ?

Also..... is it possible to update the plugin file's wordpress header fields?
Specifically Version to match the current release tag?
